RELEASE: Congressman Auchincloss has received an "A" rating from End Citizens United and Let America Vote in Their Legislative Scorecard for 118th Congress
Washington, DC - End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund (ECU // LAV), a leading anti-corruption and voting rights group with over 4 million members nationwide, released its legislative scorecard for the 118th Congress. The scorecard grades members of Congress on their support for important anti-corruption and voting rights measures that Congress has introduced and considered over the past year. Congressman Auchincloss has received an “A” rating.

“Democrats, under the leadership of Majority Leader Schumer and Leader Jeffries, stand united in safeguarding our democracy,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller. “They’re prioritizing legislation that will protect the freedom to vote and get Big Money out of politics so that the American people get a bigger say in their government. We look forward to continuing to work with Democratic leadership and the caucus in both chambers on pathways to pass these bills into law. Despite their best efforts, the entire Republican Conference continues to prevent action on these bills. They’re preserving a status quo that is working for them and their big donors.”
Below is the list of criteria used to determine the grades in the scorecard:
- Freedom to Vote Act (S.1 / H.R.11): Legislation to protect the freedom to vote, end the dominance of big money in politics, and stop discrimination in voting and redistricting.
- House action scored: co-sponsor.
- John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (H.R.14): Legislation to restore the full power of the Voting Rights Act and protect voters from discrimination at the ballot box.
- House action scored: co-sponsor.
- DISCLOSE Act (S.512 / H.R.1118): Legislation that will ensure voters know who is trying to influence their vote by requiring politically active groups to disclose their largest donors who give over $10,000.

- Democracy for All Amendment (S.J.Res.45 / H.J.Res.13): An amendment to the Constitution to give Congress and state legislatures the power to set commonsense restrictions on big money’s influence in politics.
